ME

I myself have lived here on the coast since I was 16 years of age and despite being quite a humble person, I can certainly say that I know more than many about the way things work down here and why weddings here can differ from many other places. I’ve shot thousands of events as well as weddings both here & in other areas/countries too and whilst I often cover smaller weddings on my own, I do have a choice of trusted second shooters to assist me when required. I maintain a good of physical fitness as this strength is definitely a key element to ensuring nothing is missed at an event, accompanied by ensuring I have the best people & equipment around me to maintain high levels even out of season.

THE TEAM

I’m extremely grateful to have such wonderful people helping me to be able to offer such a consistent high level of service. From help in the office during peak season here, to my faithful assistants, second-shooters/video operators on the day, editors & printers, we all know what’s needed and how to achieve it as efficiently and professionally as possible.

STYLE

My preferred approach for the majority of weddings is natural & unobtrusive as this gives total coverage and timeless results, where other approaches can hinder flexibility and limit to a style that will go out of fashion. We often quote that “it’s easy to edit or add multiple fashionable effects to a good image, but it’s usually impossible to remove them”. To achieve unique styles or alternate angles, we often get the occasional guest sometimes spots one of us hiding in a tree or somewhere and I’m proud later when regularly complemented with remarks related to my extra efforts, endurance & attention to detail. EQUIPMENT

My main kit that’s harnessed to me during a wedding is 2 x full frame Canon 5D mkIII’s – with wide aperture 35mm & 85mm prime Canon lenses and EX flashes. I also carry backup equipment and lots of extra useful equipment and gadgets from my arsenal of hi-tech gear including the best lighting, gimbals, stabilizers, audio capture devices etc. and even the latest remote electronic video crane. Everything in the photo here is my personal equipment and most of it I carry by default to every wedding, but here is a detailed list of equipment

PERSONAL

Some say that a person’s personal life has nothing to do with their professional profile… I however see it as despite I am working, I’m also invited to be present during the most important days of people’s lives and for that privilege I’m more than happy to share anything with them. I guess one of the main things is that I’m told I excel in a naturally flexible approach to work, I can easily flip back & forth from appearing a little quiet & reserved when needed and yet having a real giggle with the occasional client when it’s clearly appropriate and their preferred manner. In short I’ve got a kind & pleasant personality but can shut up when I should hehe. One area I’m proud to say is significant clear in my life relates not only to my obsession for precision & high quality that reflects in my work, but my more importantly an uninterrupted guarantee that I have to achieve what I set out to do, no matter what the obstacles… and I still reserve space to embrace a new challenge 🙂
